Donald F. Kuratko, the executive director of the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers, will speak at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, in the Ohio University Inn Ballroom.
His free lecture, "The Entrepreneurial Imperative of the 21st Century," will be preceded by a reception, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The talk is sponsored by the Ohio University Center for Entrepreneurship as part of its guest lecture series.
Kuratko, who is the Jack M. Gill chair of entrepreneurship professor of entrepreneurship and executive director of the Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, has been named the number one entrepreneurship program director in America by Entrepreneur Magazine.
He has written 28 books and over 180 articles on the subject and has done consulting for several Fortune 100 companies. His book, "Entrepreneurship: Theory, Process, Practice," is regarded as one of the leading books in the field today.
The Center of Entrepreneurship is a joint venture between the College of Business and the Voinovich School and Public Affairs.
