From staff reports
Kennedy Museum of Art is pleased to announce a discussion in its series of Brown Bag Chats. Artist Laura Larson, photography chair and assistant professor at Ohio University, will be talking about her photography in a lunchtime chat at Kennedy Museum of Art on Wednesday, March 9, from noon – 1 p.m.
Photographs from Larson’s series “Asylum” are being shown at the museum as part of the exhibition “Phantoms, Shadows and Phenomena.” Her work examines the complex relationship among belief, vision and technology in spirit photography—the practice of capturing images of paranormal phenomena.
Sponsored by the Friends of Kennedy Museum, the discussion is free and open to the public, and attendees are invited to bring their lunches into the Museum for the chat. Limited free and metered parking is available. OHIO faculty/staff and student commuters, please use faculty/staff or commuter parking permits. For more information, please call 740-593-1304.
The Ohio Arts Council helps fund Kennedy Museum of Art with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
