The External Relations team in University Communications and Marketing (UCM) has had another successful quarter getting Ohio University's name in the media.
Jennifer Krisch, UCM media specialist, explained, “External Communications successfully pitched 11 experts during fall quarter, garnering 33 prominent media placements. These included Fox News Channel, the Akron Beacon Journal, Columbus Dispatch, the American Chronicle, Google News, Midstream Business, United Press International wire service, St. Louis Globe-Democrat and various trade publications and local media.”
In a shrinking media market where there are fewer print outlets than before, OHIO’s successful pitching results stand out and extend news of OHIO’s excellence across the state, country and the world.
“Establishing relationships with the media enables the University to tell all of its compelling stories to a variety of audiences. We have so many wonderful and inspiring things to say about our research, academics, students and achievements, and we will continue letting the world know through strategic media relations efforts,” said Kelley Finan, UCM senior manager of external communications.
