OVST musical presents Grimms’ Fairy Tales

The Ohio Valley Summer Theater is performing its second production of the summer, "Into the Woods," at the Forum Theater in the Ohio University Radio Television Building.

Performances start at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday until July 31. Matinee performances are at 2 p.m. July 25 and Aug. 1.

The musical, written by James Lapine, is directed by Daniel Dennis and includes appearances from Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel and Cinderella. This combination of the
"Grimms’ Fairy Tales" and other adult-aimed characters makes for a great show, one that will be enjoyed most by older children, teens, and adults.

The cast and crew comprises students, faculty and community members. Thirty Ohio University students and faculty are involved in every aspect of the production from acting to sewing costumes.

Admission is $12. During matinees, children receive half-price tickets for each accompanying, paying adult.

OVST has been producing high-energy shows for the past 59 years and is supported by the College of Fine Arts and School of Theater. Additional information can be found on the OVST website at
