During May, Ohio University received $2,116,000 in new gifts and commitments. This brings OHIO’s fundraising total for FY 2009/2010 to $51,360,000 against a “to date” goal of $19 million, 270 percent of the “to date” goal.
Highlights for May include the following:
• $1,200,000 to support the Russ College of Engineering and Technology.
• $300,000 in the form of a challenge grant to support the George Washington Forum in the College of Arts and Sciences.
• $25,600 to support scholarships in the College of Arts and Sciences.
• $25,000 to support Visual Communication in the Scripps College of Communication.
• $15,000 to support the Technology Program in the College of Education
• $10,000 to support the Nursing Program at Ohio University-Zanesville.
• $10,000 to support the Sales Centre in the College of Business.
• New proposals in the amount of $85,000 were presented in the month of May, against the month’s proposal goal of $1,751,000. Proposals to-date in the fiscal year total $61,544,000.
