The Summer High School Honors Academy will be held during First Summer Session, June 21-July 23.
It is open to rising high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 grade scale, or equivalent.
Students will live on campus and enroll in two or three regular University courses of their choice, earning university credit. Local students will have the option to commute, and are encouraged to purchase a meal plan to increase their involvement in and benefit from the program.
In addition to their coursework, students will have the opportunity to attend two or three Exploration Seminars, where they will visit state-of-the-art facilities, learn about discipline/major options, meet some of Ohio University's most creative faculty, and learn about possible research and career paths.
The Summer High School Honors Academy is sponsored by the Office of Summer Sessions and Honors Tutorial College.
