Sharon Fountain moved around the country a lot as a child. When she learned about Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College (HTC) program, Fountain knew there was no better place to settle than OHIO. As the most academically diverse tutorial-based honors college in the country, HTC emphasizes individualized learning through one-on-one or small group tutorials. To help students like her enjoy the singular benefits of an HTC education, Fountain established the Sharon Monahan and Ben E. Fountain Scholarship.

Brian Clark, Ph.D., executive director of the Ohio Musculoskeletal and Neurological Institute, has been selected as the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation Harold E. Clybourne, D.O., Endowed Research Chair in the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Biological secrets of new titanosaurian dinosaur revealed by Heritage College scientists
Scientists from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine are part of an international team describing a new dinosaur species named Sarmientosaurus musacchioi. The discovery of an essentially complete, well-preserved skull and partial neck of the long-necked dinosaur in Argentina gives scientists the first good look at the head of an anatomically primitive titanosaur. It has yielded some of the most comprehensive information to date regarding the brain and senses of titanosaurs.

Almost 25 years ago, Dr. Tadeusz Malinski was the first in the world to publish in Nature (1992) a paper describing a nanosensor that could measure nitric oxide (NO) in a single endothelial cell.
