Child Life Alumni Symposium is Saturday, Nov. 16
The Child Life Student Organization (CLSO), the Department of Social and Public Health's Child and Family Studies program, are sponsoring a Child Life Alumni Symposium on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in W115 Grover Center.
Attendees will be current undergraduate and graduate students at Ohio University enrolled in the Child Life program, alumni of the program, students interested in the field of child life, and prospective students (undergraduate and graduate).
At 1:30 p.m., attendees will gather in W115 Grover for an introduction of OHIO alumni, with each sharing where they are employed as Certified Child Life Specialists (CCLS). Student leaders in CLSO will welcome participants. Randy Leite, dean of the College of Health Sciences and Professions, and Doug Bolon, director of the Department of Social and Public Health, will each speak. After panel introductions, alumni will offer four breakout sessions.
The afternoon will conclude with a Q&A closing panel. There is no charge to attend the event, but students planning to attend should RSVP to Jenny Chabot at firstname.lastname@example.org.
