OU Press Book Attracts National Media Attention

The Daily Beast, Kirkus Reviews, Library Journal, Booklist, Publishers Weekly—all of these national publications recently reviewed an Ohio University Press book published in early November.
That book is Mirages: The Unexpurgated Diary of Anaïs Nin, 1939-1947, published by Swallow Press, an imprint of Ohio University Press. The reviews, all favorable, welcomed the full disclosure revealed in this volume. Of particular interest to those in the literary world are Nin's candid accounts of her relationships with authors Henry Miller and Gore Vidal, not to mention others.
Nin, who died in 1977, is a well-known literary celebrity known for her sexually liberated writing in both fiction and in her diaries. Swallow Press has been publishing Nin's work for decades; there are numerous titles by or about Nin in Swallow Press's backlist of books.
Jeff Kallet, publicist for Ohio University Press, anticipates more review coverage in the coming months now that the book is available. Mirages is edited by Paul Herron with an introduction by Kim Krizan, a Nin scholar and co-writer of the movies "Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset."  The book is a jacketed hardcover, 430 pages, with a list price of $34.95.
