Two Book Awards for Ohio University Press Titles

In recent weeks, two Ohio University Press books have been honored with awards.

"The Midwestern Native Garden: Native Alternatives to Nonnative Flowers and Plants, an Illustrated Guide," by Charlotte Adelman and Bernard Schwartz, is the winner of the National Garden Clubs’s Helen Hull Award. This award recognizes literary horticultural achievement. It was presented at an awards banquet during the National Garden Clubs’s 84th annual convention in Seattle in late May.

"Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail Movement," by Suzi Parron with Donna Sue Groves, is the winner of a silver medal in the ForeWord Reviews Book of the Year Awards competition in the Crafts & Hobbies category. This award was announced at Book Expo American in New York City, also in late May.
