Rehabilitation and Communication Sciences

The School of Rehabilitation and Communication Sciences programs combine comprehensive academic training with extensive hands-on experiences in a variety of clinical settings that allow students to collaborate across multiple disciplines.

The School consists of three divisions:

  • Hearing, Speech and Language Sciences — offers one of the largest undergraduate programs in the nation, as well as nationally recognized professional graduate programs in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Physical Therapy — a professional graduate program that’s nationally recognized for its quality. The division also offers a doctorate through the Translational Biomedical Sciences doctoral program.
  •  Physician Assistant Practice — launched in 2015, this division is at the Dublin Integrated Education Center in Columbus, Ohio. The 7-semester program is designed to prepare students for any clinical setting with an emphasis on primary care in urban and rural medically underserved communities in Ohio and throughout Appalachia.

  • Hearing, Speech and Language Sciences Undergraduate Major

    Our nationally recognized undergraduate program in Hearing, Speech and Language Sciences offers students a well-rounded undergraduate education, emphasizing both the scientific and humanistic aspects of practice.

  • Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology

    We offer a world-class residential Master of Arts program in Speech-Language Pathology. Master's degree applicants who demonstrate potential for doctoral study may request consideration for admission to a special joint M.A.-Ph.D. program.

  • Doctorate in Hearing Science/Doctorate in Speech-Language Science

    We offer two world-class Ph.D. programs: hearing science and speech-language science. Both feature opportunities for individualized study, access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and an exciting range of mentored research experiences.

  • Doctor of Clinical Audiology

    We offers a world-class four-year residential Clinical Doctoral program in Audiology, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, a variety of clinical experiences, and possibilities for mentored research experiences.

  • Physical Therapy Residency

    The Physical Therapy Residency Program is a collaboration with OhioHealth to offer an orthopedic, neurological, and a pelvic health residency for licensed physical therapists.

  • Master of Physician Assistant Practice

    The College of Health Sciences and Professions offers a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Practice (MPAP) at the University’s Dublin Integrated Education Center in Dublin, Ohio.

  • Dublin Integrated Education Center

    The Physician Assistant Practice program is offered at the 86,000-square-foot Integrated Education Center in Dublin, Ohio.
