Motor Control Lab

The Motor Control Lab has been conducting research into upper and lower extremity orthopedic topics. Past research includes investigating the validity of shoulder endurance tests and the effect it has on subacromial space. The lab has also recently concluded a study that examined muscle activity with a closed-chain hip endurance test compared to traditional strength testing. Future research will continue examining the upper extremity with an emphasis on endurance activities and the effects on subacromial space to help determine effective tests and exercises that reduce discomfort in those with orthopedic pain.
