Dr. Jason White is an Associate Clinical Professor of Exercise Physiology at Ohio University. Dr. White also serves as the Director of Performance Sciences for the Ohio University Athletics’ department, providing a comprehensive, scientific approach to improving student-athlete performance and well-being. He oversees all sports science-related student-athlete support services, such as physiological testing of student-athletes, body composition testing, maximum oxygen consumption and anaerobic threshold testing, nutritional assessments, and sports science initiatives that support competitive advantage.
Dr. White was previously an Associate Professor of Kinesiology at George Mason University, where he served in the Patriot Performance Lab. He also provides physiological and performance consultation to the US Rowing Senior National Men’s and Women’s Rowing Teams. His research interests include cardiac and skeletal muscle changes due to training with analysis via ultrasound, sports performance and athlete health, athlete workload monitoring, and practical exercise-related research. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with distinction (NSCA-CSCS *D).
