Our Accreditations

  • The Athletic Training program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
  • The Exercise Physiology program is in the process of seeking accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • The Dietetics program within the Division of Food and Nutrition Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics, the accrediting agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Students who complete the concentration qualify to sit for a national exam to become a dietetic technician, registered (DTR). Completing the dietetics concentration is also the first step to becoming a registered dietitian (RD). To become an RD, students must also complete an accredited internship at a university, healthcare facility, community agency or food-service corporation. After the internship, the student must then pass a national accreditation exam.
