2017 Fall OUC Book Buyback
December 05, 2017 : Textbook Buyback Scheduled

Textbook buyback is scheduled for December 13 and 14, the Wednesday and Thursday of finals week at Ohio University Chillicothe. On those days representatives from will be in the Bennett Hall lobby from 10 AM to 6 PM to offer students cash for eligible textbooks. Textbook buyback is dependent on the book and market-some books are eligible for varying amounts of money while some books may be ineligible.

Textbooks rented through the OUC bookstore should be returned to the Hilltop Café in the Stevenson Center during finals week. Students are highly encouraged to pay special attention to their textbooks to assure that rented textbooks are not accidentally sold.

The OUC bookstore closed on November 8. Students will need to find alternative means of securing their spring semester textbooks. College Credit Plus Students will obtain textbooks from their high schools and should contact their guidance counselors. Military Affiliated Students should obtain their books and receipts for reimbursement through their educational case managers.

For traditional students, there are a variety of ways to obtain textbooks and other course materials. Many students at OUC post books for sale on bulletins boards throughout campus. OUC’s Quinn Library may have some textbooks on reserve to use for a determined amount of time or may be able to help students request books from other libraries via OhioLINK, an Ohio based inter-library loan system. Instructors are also good resources for textbook obtainment, and should list all required textbooks on their syllabi.
