2019 News Fall Bobcat Blitz
September 03, 2019 : Approximately 300 new students attended Bobcat Blitz in preparation for fall

In preparation for fall semester 2019, the Student Services Office at Ohio University Chillicothe closed out the fall orientation season by hosting three Bobcat Blitz sessions the week of August 19th. Bobcat Blitz is the third and final part of the orientation process, which includes a panel discussion in the Bennett Hall Auditorium.

This year’s panel focused on tips related to accountability and responsibility, persistence, the instructional environment, and intellectual engagement from the Dean, faculty, staff, and current students. Following the discussion, students were able to participate in a Q&A session with those on the panel.

Immediately after Student Services gave tours of campus, assisted with final enrollment and financial aid checks, and dispersed student photo ID’s. The new and improved orientation process, which began last year, has proven to be more useful in preparing students for college.

John Fisher, Director of Student Services, remarked, “We are very pleased to welcome a new group of students to our campus and hope they have a positive experience here. We believe this is the best way we have to explain the expectations and opportunities that exist here and help acclimate new students to our campus .”

OHIO Chillicothe welcomes you to campus – best of luck!
