Ohio University Chillicothe Interim Dean Dywayne Nicely shared the following message with Chillicothe campus students on March 20, 2020.
Dear Ohio University Chillicothe students,
During this unprecedented time in the history of Ohio University, I understand these last couple of weeks have been difficult for our campus. I assure you that your professors, campus leadership, and staff are all working diligently to provide virtual courses and services as best as possible.
It is essential that we follow the recommendations of our local health officials to keep our campus and communities safe. Circumstances are changing daily and I encourage you all to keep checking for updates by visiting www.ohio.edu/coronavirus for the latest news and information. You may also email firstname.lastname@example.org for questions or concerns.
Each of you have my sympathy as this pandemic has come at such trying times – times in which we should be celebrating our accomplishments and participating in activities on campus, as for some of you, this is your last semester at Ohio University Chillicothe. Nevertheless, in times like this, it important that we take the necessary precautions to stay safe.
I encourage all of us to be cognizant of our handwashing habits and practice good hand hygiene now, more than ever. It is also essential that we maintain “social distancing” to help stop the spread of this virus.
During this time of conversion, the Chillicothe campus has really stepped up and I am deeply touched at how we have banded together as a community during this challenging time.
As we prepare to complete the semester, I encourage each of you to be mindful that we are all transitioning. Patience and compassion are vital as we adapt to this new approach and all our faculty and staff will also be extending their patience and compassion to you.
Let’s strive to finish this semester strong, Hilltoppers. Take care, stay safe, and keep connected.
