Advising and Registration

Attending an Advising & Registration Session

In order to sign up for an Advising & Registration Session, you must be admitted to the University and have activated your OHIO ID. Advising & Registration sessions are designed to acquaint new students with the campus; familiarize themselves with admissions, registration, and financial aid policies and procedures; meet with academic advisors to plan their schedules, and spend time with Chillicothe Campus Faculty discussing how they can best prepare for the first day of classes.

Activate your OHIO ID

Activate your OHIO ID, create a password, and set up account rescue information online. You will need your PID number and birthdate for the activation process. You can find your PID number on the acknowledgment letter you received when you first applied for admission, as well as in your email.

Your OHIO ID will be used to register for classes, check account balances, view financial aid, and much more. If you experience technical difficulty accessing https://account.ohio.edu, please contact the Athens Service Desk at 740.593.1222 or the Chillicothe Help Desk at 740.774.7212.

Register for Classes

During an Advising & Registration Session, you will meet with an advisor, have your student ID photo taken, and register for classes. Please sign up for an Advising & Registration session for Spring Semester. Your OHIO ID and password are required to RSVP.

To register for Summer session Orientation please call the Admissions desk at 740.774.7241

If you have not already activated your OHIO ID, follow the instructions above, and you will receive a confirmation email once you register for an Advising & Registration session.
