➢ APPOINTMENTS MUST BE SCHEDULED 24 Hours IN ADVANCE! (Call, Email, or Schedule
Online any time!)
➢ Students must arrange make-up exams with their instructor BEFORE contacting the (TC).
➢ Exams must be completed by the posted closing time. You are solely responsible for
scheduling their appointments appropriately in order to receive the maximum time available for testing.
➢ A valid PHOTO ID is REQUIRED. This includes a state license or ID card, OU student ID,
Military ID, etc.
➢ CELL PHONES must be turned OFF or on SILENT.
➢ Unless specified by the instructor, no assistive materials are permitted while testing.
Instructions provided to the TC, and/or any documented amendments, will prevail.
➢ YOU ARE BEING MONITORED, both electronically and by the proctor. Testing may be
discontinued due to suspicion of Academic Misconduct. All instances will be reported to instructors.
➢ PERSONAL ITEMS MUST BE PLACED IN THE SPACE PROVIDED. This includes items such
as: PHONES, keys, books, book bags, purses, wallets, headphones, USB devices, iPods, iPads, and other electronic devices, etc.
➢ NO BREAKS are permitted during testing, unless specified by your instructor and/or the
➢ QUIET PLEASE. Be respectful of other testers and minimize talking when entering or
exiting from the TC.
➢ QUESTIONS. If you have questions regarding test content, please make a note on the test,
and/or contact your instructor at a later time. The TC staff may only provide answers to questions pertaining to the testing procedure; they are not qualified to answer questions related to test content.
➢ When finished, RETURN ALL MATERIALS PROVIDED BY THE TC (this includes
paper!). Removing these items is considered an act of Academic Misconduct.
➢ SIGN-OUT, collect your personal items, and quietly leave the room.
➢ Unexpected Closings and/or Delays (i.e. bad weather or other emergency), please contact
the TC to reschedule your exam.
➢ Failure to comply with the policies set by the Ohio University Chillicothe Testing Center
or your instructor may result in termination and collection of your test. An incident report will be provided to your instructor.
Academic Misconduct – Dishonesty or deception in fulfilling academic requirements. It includes, but is not limited to cheating, plagiarism, unpermitted collaboration, forged attendance (when attendance is required), fabrication (e.g., use of invented information or falsification of research or other findings), using advantages not approved by the instructor (e.g., unauthorized review of a copy of an exam ahead of time), knowingly permitting another student to plagiarize or cheat from one’s work, or submitting the same assignment in different courses without consent of the instructor. Note: An instructor may impose a grade penalty for academic misconduct and/or file a judicial referral to facilitate possible expulsion from the University.

* The Testing Center reserves the right to close the office early
if all scheduled testers are completed before 8:00 p.m.
