Continuing Education Programs

Ohio University Chillicothe's Continuing Education Office offers a variety of programs to support the Chillicothe community. We provide flexible and affordable education programs, seminars, workshops, business and industry training programs, and facilities that meet the demands for the community we serve.

Current Programs

For those in our community at least age 60, you may register for credit classes on a non-credit basis free of charge depending upon space available and by permission of the instructor. To view the list of classes available, please search the course catalog. Register for classes by completing the registration form available from the Admissions & Registration Office or online. (*Note: 60+ fees are listed for each class.)
After the student is enrolled, the instructor for the registered course will need to request/sponsor a long-term guest account for students participating in the 60+ program. In order to request/sponsor the account, the instructor will need the following information from the student: first and last name; address; phone number; date of birth, and a non-OHIO email address so the guest account information can be sent to the student. The instructor will also need to select "Ohio Email Account Needed" as well as specify the expiration date of the account (end of the semester the course is taught).
If the instructor requires the student to have library online database access and student borrowing privileges for the course, the instructor will also need from the student their driver's license/state ID number, expiration date, and the state that issued the ID for the guest account sponsorship. 60+ program students will need to activate their guest account. Instructors can then "Quick Enroll" students into Blackboard using the guest account information provided by the student.
Please identify yourself to the instructor as a person in the 60+ Program before the class begins and verify that the guest account has been created.
