2016 Roenigk Lecture Molecular Behavior in Small Spaces, April 14

Ohio University’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and its Roenigk Chair Prof. Eric Masson present the 2016 Roenigk Lecturer, Prof. Julius Rebek Jr., on “Molecular Behavior in Small Spaces” on Thursday, April 14, at 4:35 p.m. in Clippinger 194.

Welcome Jessica and Travis White
jessica and travis white

Jessica is presently a postdoctoral research associate in the laboratory of Professor Claudia Turro at The Ohio State University, and obtained her Ph.D. degree with the late Karen Brewer at Virginia Tech.  Jessica’s research program will focus on design of light-activated transition metal complexes as therapeutic and diagnostic pharmaceutical agents.

The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry is pleased to welcome two new colleagues.  Jessica White and Travis White will join the department as tenure-track Assistant Professors of Inorganic chemistry in the 2016−17 academic year.

Travis is currently a postdoctoral research associate in the laboratory of Professor Claudia Turro at The Ohio State University, and obtained his Ph.D. degree with the late Karen Brewer at Virginia Tech.  Prior to coming to Ohio State, Travis held a Wenner-Gren Foundation postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Professor Sascha Ott at Uppsala University in Sweden. Travis’ research program will focus on design of metal complexes for solar energy conversion.
