Research Projects

CE3’s ability to convene expert teams from various disciplines and backgrounds allows us to tackle a robust and growing portfolio of projects. The research conducted by CE3 faculty, staff and students spans a spectrum of issues from relating to the economic, environmental, political and development implications of energy and environmental decisions. Our specific areas of expertise include Air, Data, Energy, Land, Policy, Shale, Waste and Water.

Frequently, these areas are addressed in the same project, due to the nature of the topic and its ramifications on the future well-being of Ohio’s communities and businesses. Examples of efforts that have resulted from internal and external collaborations include:

  • Clean and alternative fuel research
  • Water quality and aquatic ecosystem research
  • Air quality research and technology development
  • Economic analysis of alternative energy development
  • Integration of sustainability concepts throughout the university curriculum

Additional project information can be found under each program area's page.
