Raccoon Creek water trail map in motion

Karla Sanders May 30, 2012

Karla Sanders, a second-year graduate student in the Master of Science in Environmental Studies program at Ohio University, recently completed work on a water trail map for Raccoon Creek. Raccoon Creek, surrounded by parks and state forests in the northern section, is a scenic stream featuring wildlife, a complex history of coal mining and other land use practices, and a beautiful mixed landscape of forests and farms. This "creek" is actually one of Ohio's longest streams, spanning six counties in southeast Ohio and flowing into the Ohio River near Gallipolis.

Watch the progression of her stunning project captured on vimeo here.
