Research Interests

Research in Dr. Jules Guei’s group is directed toward the application of forensic science in general and is focused on 1) the design, synthesis, and characterization of Novel Psychoactive Substances (NPS) for the development of a searchable library, (2) in vitro metabolism studies of NPS for the characterization of their metabolites, (3) methods development for quantitative and qualitative analyses of drugs/controlled substances in biological samples, (4) geometry-activity relationship (GAR) of nanoparticles in biological samples for the development of their toxicological profile, (5) touch DNA.
