ICCB 2019

6th International Conference on Cucurbiturils (ICCB 2019) in Athens, Ohio (USA) on the campus of Ohio University, July 21-24, 2019

Abstract Submission Window Extended | Registration Still Open!

Abstract submission window: March 8 – May 15, 2019.
Conference registration window: March 1 – June 1, 2019.

It is a great pleasure to invite you to attend the 6th International Conference on Cucurbiturils (ICCB 2019) in Athens, Ohio (USA) on the campus of Ohio University, July 21-24, 2019.

The conference will provide an open forum for discussions and exchanges on all aspects of the synthesis and properties of cucurbiturils and related receptors, with an emphasis on recent applications. The schedule will follow the style of the preceding four conferences.

Athens is a picturesque town located in southeast Ohio, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is home to Ohio University, a charming and friendly campus, and the oldest university in the state. Athens is surrounded by green hills and small lakes. Gorges, waterfalls and peculiar geological features can be found 40 minutes away at Hocking Hills State Park

Ohio University is located 120 kilometers southeast of the John Glenn Columbus International Airport. Shuttles will be offered for your transfer to Athens. Alternatively, you can rent a car at the airport, and enjoy the pleasant 80-minute drive.

We look forward to your participation at ICCB 2019.

Sincerely,

Eric Masson (Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, Ohio University, Athens, OH)

Adam Urbach (Department of Chemistry, Trinity University, San Antonio, TX)

Co-Chairs of ICCB 2019

Program

The program will be finalized in the coming weeks.

Conference registration will open at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 21 in the Ohio University Inn lobby. A welcome reception will be held starting at 6 p.m. We recommend that you arrange for landing at Columbus International Airport between 2 and 4 p.m. You will be given the opportunity to enter your flight information into a form a few weeks before the beginning of the conference, so that we can meet you at the airport and drive you to Athens (90-minute ride). If you have already booked your flight, and you are now registering to the conference, please enter your flight information in the relevant box.

The conference will end by 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24. Recreational activities are organized in the afternoon until approximately 5 p.m. Transportation to the airport is available anytime during the afternoon and evening, as well as on Thursday morning. If you wish to participate in the recreational activities, but still leave on Wednesday, we recommend that you fly out of Columbus International Airport later than 8 p.m. The airport is efficient, and getting there 90 minutes before departure gives you plenty of time to catch your flight.
