Bibliography

I have been fortunate to have had a diverse scientific career that has allowed me to research multiple areas of molecular biology.  This has given me the opportunity not only to pursue different research interests but also to live in varied places, meet many wonderful people and have experiences that I couldn’t have predicted at the outset of my career. For me, the most exciting change was when I switched into undergraduate education full-time, first at Bard High School Early College in Queens, NY, and now at Ohio University. Although teaching wasn’t my original plan, I have found that sharing my fascination of microbiology with students is what I love to do.  This just goes to show that it is never too late to find your passion.
