Research Interests

Limnogeology and Limnology

  • Global impact of lake systems through geologic time.
  • Limnogeologic investigations (study of lake deposits in the geologic record) that include sedimentologic and petrographic analysis of nonmarine carbonate lacustrine to palustrine rocks and mudstone-rich lacustrine/fluvial sequences in tectonic basins.
  • Sediments and associated features of modern reservoir lakes impacted by acid mine drainage in Ohio, including limnologic monitoring of lake characteristics.
  • Provenance studies of lake deposits using Sr isotopic analysis of carbonates.
