There is an unmistakable energy at the heart of the Athens campus. The second floor of Alden Library is alive with students sharing, debating, exploring and learning. Rather than a quiet, static place, the library serves as an academic catalyst where students learn through its many resources – and through each other. It is one of dozens of dynamic environments throughout the campus that symbolize the academic and student-life experience that marks an Ohio University education.
Undergraduate and graduate education manifests itself in many ways: classroom lectures, intercollegiate athletics, internships, tutoring programs, student groups, Greek life, theatre performances, and yes – even late nights at the library.
Rather than categorizing academics and campus life as separate entities, we consider each to be dependent upon the other. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to fostering multidisciplinary approaches to education in order to ensure that students graduate with a love of learning and the knowledge, skills and experiences essential for a lifelong quest for knowledge.
Classroom and campus activities are at the center of the OHIO learning experience. Yet these programs cannot stand on their own. Support a student activities fund. Endow a study abroad scholarship. Sponsor an internship. Fund our athletic programs.
The possibilities are endless, but vital to our continued success.
