What is your hometown?
When did you start your college search?
Junior year of high school
How did you find Ohio University?
My father is an Ohio University alumnus, and I had been to campus a few times before for various sporting events.
What do you remember from your college visit?
I remember not knowing what to ask and everyone asking me if I had any questions. I also remember walking around Copeland and meeting Alex Hankins (former Student Ambassador).
Why did you choose Ohio University?
I chose Ohio University because I was accepted into Copeland Scholars and wanted to go into a strong business school.
The College of Business and Athens
What are you studying? How did you come to that?
I came into the College of Business undecided and did not have a clue what I wanted to do. Now I am studying Finance, and I made this selection by joining the Derivatives Management Group (OUDMG). I went to the finance group information session and learned about all the groups and the application processes. Then I joined OUDMG and my interest has been growing ever since.
Reflect on your Cluster experience.
Cluster was a great learning experience and helped me to understand business better from a macro view. Especially understanding how different personalities interact in a business setting was a very important lesson.
How else are you involved on campus?
- OUDMG – Selective investment group that studies and pitches advanced derivative products
- Seed Fund – Student group that invests in student entrepreneurs
- Copeland Scholars – Selective leadership organization
- Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre – Selective sales organization

Court Street Coffee, Pigskin, and Gran Ranchero.
If you had to shadow one person for an entire month, who would it be?
Reid Hoffman because he has a podcast that I love and would want to be a fly on the wall as a successful venture capitalist/entrepreneur speaks to an accomplished entrepreneur on their path to success.
Would you rather have a rewind button or a pause button on your life, why?
Definitely a pause button as I always seem to have more things I want to do in a day then I have time to get done.
If you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be?
My first three guests would be Malcolm Gladwell, Bill Gates, and Kanye.
If you can instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?
Playing the piano. I have zero natural musical ability.

I am a big fan of spring as things are getting warmer and leaving the gloom of Ohio winters.

My computer monitor. With the transition to virtual work and schooling it is a must.
