What is your hometown?

Olean, NY, which is a small town located in Western New York.

When did you start your college search?

I started my college search during my sophomore year of high school. During this time, I researched and visited a wide range of in-state and out-of-state options.

How did you find Ohio University?

My two older sisters attended OHIO.

What do you remember from your college visit?

My sisters attended OHIO so I visited campus several times before I took a formal campus tour and shadowed in classes. Something I always enjoyed during my visits was visiting Strouds Run and eating at the local restaurants (especially Thai Paradise). During my junior year of high school, I took a formal campus tour and shadowed in several classes. The students and professors went out of their way to make me feel welcome and were excited to share their experiences and advice with me.

Why did you choose Ohio University?

During high school, I realized that I learned best in environments in which I received individual attention and built strong relationships with my teachers. I was also always heavily involved in extracurricular activities. Therefore, I looked for similar things in the universities that I was considering. OHIO proved to have autonomous learning opportunities and a great community.

The College of Business and Athens

What are you studying? How did you come to that?

Business Analytics and Management Information Systems. I realized my interests through my QBA courses and extracurricular activities.

Reflect on your Cluster experience.

Cluster proved to be a meaningful PBL experience. During this semester, I developed my collaboration, research, and problem-solving skills. Through the cohort-styled classes, I established strong bonds with my teammates and professors.

How else are you involved on campus?

On campus, I am involved in three student organizations and have three on-campus jobs. I am the VP of alumni relations for the Select Leadership Development Program, an exchange participant manager at AIESEC, and an outreach and philanthropy team member of the Schey Sales Centre. I also work in the Walter Center for Strategic Leadership and in Admissions as a campus tour guide.

What is your graduation year? What do you want to do after graduation?

I intend to graduate in May of 2022. I am keeping an open mind to career opportunities. I want to apply my analytical skills at a global, impact-oriented organization.

What is your favorite place to study?

I love to work on projects in the CoLab.
