What is your hometown?
When did you start your college search?
Junior year of high school
How did you find Ohio University?
My parents both graduated from Ohio University, so I’ve been coming here ever since I was a kid.
What do you remember from your college visit?
I remember that it was Moms Weekend the day I took my official tour. My tour guide had her mom with her and so did almost every other student on campus. I remember thinking it was so cool that everyone got to introduce their moms to one another, and I envisioned myself doing that with my mom.
Why did you choose Ohio University?
Honestly, I did not think I would go to Ohio University. The main reason for that was because my parents went there, and I wanted to do something different. So, being 100% honest, I chose it because of affordability. HOWEVER! I am now in LOVE with this school. The amount of programs that are available here and the amazing professors contribute to the many reasons why I love Ohio University and specifically the College of Business. I have felt comfortable enough in every class to reach out to my professors for extra help or assignments to help me understand the material. I also have been able to travel with the College of Business to companies around the nation for executive engagements. The College of Business is setting me up for success, and my peers and professors make that journey so special.

What are you studying? How did you come to that?
Finance and Analytics. I came into college undecided because I honestly had no idea what I wanted to do. I began by taking intro classes, talking to my professors, and seeing my academic advisor for guidance. Even though I didn’t come in with a set major, I feel as if I am more confident in my area of study. I now know I chose this major because I liked it, not because it is what I thought I wanted to do.
Reflect on your Cluster experience.
I was really afraid of Cluster going into it. It is the first time in your course of study when you are expected to do extensive research through databases (not just Googling haha), write essays that can vary from 25-35 pages, and work with a team of five students. All of this with no exact rubric (they don’t give a checklist in the real world!). It was hard; I can’t downplay that. However, that semester was the hardest, yet most rewarding of all of them. When I came out of Cluster, I truly felt proud of myself. I didn’t feel like I memorized flashcards to pass a test. I made a great group of friends through it, and I’m still in contact with my Cluster professors today.
How else are you involved on campus?
I am the new member coordinator of Alpha Delta Pi, an analyst in the Fixed Income Management Group, a member of College of Business Select Leaders, a tour guide, and a member of the Schey Sales Centre.
What do you want to do after graduation?
I graduate in May 2022. I want to work in a large city for a bulge bracket bank. I want to manage assets or work directly with clients as a financial planner.
Favorite campus landmark? Place to study? Place to eat? Coffee?
- Emeriti Park is the best "landmark" in Athens
- Best place to study is the library or a local coffee shop (I also loved studying in the residence hall study areas)
- Best place to eat would be Jackie O's or Bagel Street Deli
- Best coffee is hands down Court Street Coffee (right next to the business school too!)
What is your favorite thing about Athens, Ohio?
My absolute favorite thing about Athens and Ohio University is that no one cares if you look, act, or seem different than themselves. In Athens, you are accepted for who you are. Everyone is so friendly and wants you to be yourself. For example, you can dress up for class or you can wear your pajamas. You are not socially pressured here and that is such a relief!
Would you rather have a rewind button or a pause button on your life, why?
I would love to have a pause button. Life moves so fast (especially in college), and I wish I could slow it down a little.
If you could live in any sitcom, which one would it be and why?
I would live in Friends. Living in New York City in your early 20s with all of your friends as neighbors, I can’t think of anything cooler!
If you could visit any place in the world where would it be and why?
I would love to explore Europe. There is so much history and culture there. I would love to learn more about it. I am actually hoping to visit there sometime in the near future because I became really good friends with a German exchange student at Ohio University. I’m trying to plan a trip so I can go visit them.
Favorite season and why?
My favorite season is fall. It is the time where all of my favorite things start—back-to-school time, football season, and the beginning of the holiday season!
