What is your hometown?
When did you start your college search?
I started my college search as early as sophomore year. I visited about 40 schools around the country for regular admissions and athletic opportunities.
How did you find Ohio University?
The best part about my college search is that Ohio University found me. I received a letter in the mail with information about the College of Business (COB), as well as a free waiver to apply. OHIO was the very last school I ever toured, and I never looked back.
What do you remember from your college visit?
I always remembered my tour guides during any college visit. I remember walking on College Green for the first time and feeling right at home. During my college visit, I felt welcomed and comfortable even being an out-of-state student.
Why did you choose Ohio University?
I chose OHIO because of the numerous opportunities available to COB students, the campus, and the people. It was very important to me that wherever I decided to attend, I would be able to make my college experience unique. I wanted to get involved right away, and I knew that choosing OHIO would allow me to join organizations that would help me grow professionally and personally and create lifelong friendships.

What are you studying? How did you come to that?
I am studying Marketing, Business Analytics, and Sales. I took business classes in high school that initially sparked my interest in marketing. I added on the analytics major after taking required classes during my freshman and sophomore year here. I added on the sales certificate after joining the Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre. I felt that these fields of study would provide me with multiple opportunities in various industries.
Reflect on your Cluster experience.
My Cluster experience was very unique in the respect that for the first portion of the semester, I worked directly with a team on campus. For the second portion of the semester, I was assigned a brand new group, and we all had to work virtually from our homes after being sent home due to COVID-19. Although at times it was very difficult, Cluster provided me with the ability to work successfully with a group in a virtual environment and provided me with valuable skills (time management, organization, delegation) that will help me thrive in my future career.
How else are you involved on campus?
I serve as the VP of marketing in the Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre, and I am the vice president of standards and values in the Beta Upsilon Sigma Kappa Chapter on campus.
What is your graduation year? What do you want to do after graduation?
My graduation year is May 2022. I am very passionate in all of the subjects that I am studying so I have not yet decided what I want to do after graduation or where I would like to work. I am excited to see what the future holds.
Share about your advisor? Your Career Coach?
My advisors have always been extremely helpful. Before I even attended Ohio University as a student, I was helped tremendously during orientation. My entire family was able to sit in my advisor’s office and discuss my major, classes, and four-year track before I even became a full-time student. The COB advisors are a great resource for all students.
What’s a classroom lesson that has stuck with you?
Never be afraid to be the one to ask the question others are too afraid to ask. The best way to be successful is to constantly be a sponge and absorb as much information as you can.
Favorite campus landmark? Place to study? Place to eat. Coffee?
Some of my favorite places to study are the 5th floor of Alden Library and the conference rooms in Copeland Hall. Each provide a much quieter work place, and I can get my work done faster. My favorite places to eat on campus are Union Street Diner and Stephens. I also love to visit friends and schedule meetings at Brenen’s Coffee.
What is your favorite thing about Athens, Ohio?
My favorite thing about Athens, Ohio, is the strong sense of community. Everyone has so much love for Athens and its beauty.
If you had to shadow one person for an entire month, who would it be?

I would rather have a pause button on my life as the past has brought me to where I am now. This time in my life has been so impactful and influential to my personal and professional growth. College is flying by, and I wish I could put a pause on life to enjoy these moments a little bit longer.
If you could live in any sitcom, which one would it be and why?
