Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
What is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion?
At Ohio University we offer personal support to all of our diverse students. Diversity for us means students from underrepresented and marginalized groups like those of color, international, LGBTQ+, Appalachian, women, disabled, as well as students with other intersecting lived experiences and identities. As one of the only business schools with a dedicated office of Diversity & Inclusion, we want our actions to speak louder than our words.
Required Student Experiences
Our curriculum requires that students learn about different perspectives, history, and how they can individually impact DEI on-campus today and in the business world tomorrow.
- 6 specific diversity, equity, and inclusion workshops for students
- 25%+ student body identifies as ethnically diverse and/or first-generation
The College of Business and Athens are home to a broad spectrum of students and faculty. In everything we do, our North Star is always focused on embedding inclusive practices, policies, curricula, and programs to promote a supportive and affirming environment that welcomes and respects all persons.
College of Business D&I Opportunities
From staffing support to student organizations, alumni efforts, and scholarships, the College of Business Office of Diversity and Inclusion proudly supports all our Bobcats—whether they're in Copeland Hall now or it's been years.
