Year-Round Workshops

Our Year-Round Workshops are exciting opportunities to learn more about the OUAWP and to meet other committed teachers in Appalachian Ohio. They are open to any teacher in the counties we serve (Athens, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Morgan, Perry, Lawrence,Vinton, and Washington) and beyond.

We gladly accept all types of teachers from all different schools to our workshops. Note that you do not have to participate in the Summer Institute to join us for these year-round activities.

2014-15 Workshop Schedule

Digital Storytelling Workshop with Dr. Don Dudding

Description: (from Don) I'd like to spend part of the morning explaining why to do digital storytelling and the rest of the time working with participants on how to do digital storytelling.  So a little theory and a lot of practice.  It will be very NWP in that I expect participants to share their own ideas about how they may use Digital Storytelling in their classrooms.  I'll talk about the availability of freeware so students can work on their own home computers and I'll also cover integrating smartphones into the DS toolbox.
