To accomplish this mission the Office of the Dean of Students seeks to effectively communicate with parents and families, help parents and families understand and navigate the Ohio University landscape, provide advocacy for parents and families, and provide on-campus activites for family weekends.
Traveling to Athens
This summer will see major construction projects both on the Ohio University campus and in the city of Athens—projects that will transform the campus for the better in the long run, but will affect parking and traffic flow for vehicles and pedestrians in the near-term.
To ensure happy traveling, plan ahead and expect delays. Before leaving home, check the new OHGO ( http://www.buckeyetraffic.org/ ) for the latest road conditions due to construction and weather.
When you're closer to Athens, check #OhioUBuilds on Twitter for any last-minute detours or lane changes.
And while traveling around campus, please be careful and alert. Thanks in advance for your patience. We promise the results will be worth it!
There will be detailed signage along the road once you get close to campus helping direct you to your destination, as well as radio coverage of traffic news and move in updates the closer you get to Athens.
