Traveling to Athens


Transportation and Parking Services manages traffic flow and parking during move in. Click here for detailed information on arriving to campus and move-in parking.

There will be detailed signage along roadways as you approach campus to help direct you to your destination, as well as radio coverage of traffic news and move in updates the closer you get to Athens. We recommend turning off your GPS when you arrive in Athens and following the signs to your residential green.


If you are arriving by plane via the Columbus Airport:

Go Bus

The Go Bus serves Athens with several regular daily routs connecting to Columbus (Airport), Cincinnati, Cleveland, Marietta, Parkersburg and spots in between. Tickets are $10 per trip, for information and booking contact Go Bus at (888.954.6287) or ridegobus.com. Go Bus buses have amenities such as built in WIFI and power outlets.

Express Air Coach

"Your direct airport connection." Book your online reservation today by visiting www.expressaircoach.com. Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance to secure a scheduled travel time. To reserve by phone or book a private ride please call 765.743.3120. Visa and Master Card accepted and charged when reservations are made.

Athens Airport Express

Quick, prompt transportation service to and from Port Columbus International Airport. The service operates seven days a week. Port Columbus to Athens $135 one person; $22 per additional person plus tax. Athens to Port Columbus $125 one person; $22 per additional person plus tax. Call 740.590.4686 24-hours in advance, if possible.


Lakefront Trailways

Lakefront Trailways(1.800.331.5009) or www.lakefrontlines.com. Lakefront Lines departs Columbus for Athens from the Greyhound Bus Station (111 East Town Street) every day at 10:55 a.m.  You will need to take a taxi from the airport to the bus station, a 10-15 minute ride. It is suggested you call or check Lakefront's website as schedules are subject to change without notice.
