Traveling to Athens
This summer will see continued construction projects both on the Ohio University campus and in the city of Athens—projects that will transform the campus for the better in the long run, but will affect parking and traffic flow for vehicles and pedestrians in the near-term.
To ensure happy traveling, plan ahead and expect delays. Before leaving home, check the new OHGO (http://www.ohgo.com) for the latest road conditions due to construction and weather.
And while traveling around campus, please be careful and alert. Thanks in advance for your patience. We promise the results will be worth it!
Transportation and Parking Services manages traffic flow and parking during move in. Click here for detailed information on arriving to campus and move-in parking.
There will be detailed signage along roadways as you approach campus to help direct you to your destination, as well as radio coverage of traffic news and move in updates the closer you get to Athens. We recommend turning off your GPS when you arrive in Athens and following the signs to your residential green.
