Spotlight on Learning 2005 presentation

The third annual Spotlight on Learning Symposium to be held April 8th in the Baker Center Ballroom. As in years past, "Spotlight" will showcase innovative teaching practices developed and utilized by Ohio University faculty from a number of different disciplines.

Through a keynote and several presentations, this year's event will put particular emphasis on Faculty Learning Communities or ALC's. The keynote speaker for the event will be Professor Milt Cox of Miami University. Dr.Cox is an innovator in the development of ALC's. In addition, several of the active ALC's on the Ohio University campus will also be showcased. These include the Service Learning ALC, the MERLOT community, which focuses on the use of technology in pedagogy, and the "Teaching in and About Appalachia" ALC. In addition to the ALC presentations, there will be poster and roundtable presentations featuring innovative teaching practices by Ohio University faculty.
