Amidst a successful career as a fashion stylist, she taught herself interior design and is now an HGTV star who partners with outfits such as Crate & Barrel, Hart Tools, and Domino Magazine to bring her modern yet lived-in aesthetic to homes from Los Angeles to New York City – and especially Pittsburgh.

Southeast Ohio has faced persistent acid mine drainage pollution from old coal mining activities that impair local streams. Dr. Guy Riefler and John Sabraw have developed a process that treats acid mine drainage while producing an iron-based pigment. Sales from the pigment pay for the treatment costs and provide a modest business opportunity for an impoverished region.
