1 - 5:30 p.m. Sherman House Historical Tour (Begin and end at Baker University Center, 1st Floor)

Visit the birthplace of Civil War General William Tecumseh Sherman! This tour will take interested alumni to Lancaster, OH, where they will visit General Sherman’s birth home and learn about the general and Ohio’s role in the Civil War. This program will feature former Alumni College presenter Dr. Brian Schoen (History Department.). Cost is $5 per person to include transportation and light snack. Space is limited and on a first come, first served basis.

OHIO alumni are invited to a Telescope Night, hosted by the Ohio University astronomy faculty and students. Visitors may see Lunar craters, Saturn's rings, Jupiter, Mars, star clusters, or distant galaxies, depending on the time of year and sky conditions. Telescope Nights are held at the Ohio University Observatory located at The Ridges on the Athens campus.
9 - Midnight DJ A-Roc at The Over Hang (The Over Hang)

Music lovers will congregate at The Over Hang for a night out, hosted by Athens’ own DJ A-Roc. Dance routines are encouraged, but not required. There is no cost associated with this event, pay as you go for food and beverages.

Dust off a pair of old sneakers and join Bobcats of all ages for the annual 3 vs. 3 Basketball Tournament. The registration fee is $20 per team, and all participants must sign up with enough players for a full team (minimum three). Registration also includes a t-shirt for each participant - please indicate sizes when registering.

9 a.m Southeast Ohio History Center Tour (Baker University Center, 4th floor)

We will meet at Baker Center, 4th floor, then walk to the new facility. The History Center has moved! Come check out the fabulous new location right off of court street and observe some of Ohio's most intriguing artifacts. The center's curator Jessica Cyders will be displaying a collection just for us! It will include a glimpse of Athens and all things trains. In addition, you will have the opportunity to see the scheduled exhibits featured by the center.
9 a.m. - Noon Athens CASA Superhero Dash (Pepsi Tailgreat Park)

Athens CASA is partnering with the OHIO Alumni Association in bringing the Superheroes back to town for Superhero Fest, Volume IV. Join us on this wacky, family-friendly, fun-filled day of Superheroes, showing off their super powers. Costumes are encouraged, fun is guaranteed.
9 - 11 a.m. Sandy Paws Beach Volleyball (South Beach Volleyball Courts in front of Nelson Commons)

Swing by South Beach Saturday morning for sun, sand and spikes during our inaugural Sandy Paws Beach Volleyball outing. This casual gathering is open to Bobcats of all ages and no prior volleyball experience is needed. Sign up individually, or with family and friends, and we will fill the courts for an assortment of pickup games. There is no cost to play and we will provide water, snacks and OHIO swag for all participants.
9 - 11 a.m. The Ridges Today Tour (Begin and end at Baker University Center, 1st Floor)
** This event is full and unfortunately not accepting walk-ups 

The Ridges Walking Tour will take attendees on a guided tour of the grounds and buildings of the historic former Athens State Hospital. The area, now known as The Ridges, comprises about 730 acres of land and over 700,000 gross square feet of buildings which are on the National Register of Historic Places. Built following the Kirkbride Model in the 1860s the asylum was a regional mental health hospital operated by the state of Ohio. Under the Kirkbride plan the hospital was designed to be self-sustaining with farms, orchards, dairy, and livestock all tended to by patients and employees. Guided by Shawna Bolin, AVP for University Planning, the tour will include historic and future use perspectives with an opportunity to see inside currently used and unoccupied spaces.

What began as a handful of farmers selling their produce is now a community event showcasing farmers, orchardists, specialty food producers, bakers, horticulturalists, cheese makers and many other food-based entrepreneurs. Stop by and take some time to enjoy this region’s best in local flavor.
9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Cruise-In At The Convo (Convocation Center Parking Lot)

Bring your classic car, truck, or motorcycle for a day of fun at the “Cruise-In At The Convo”! There is a $10 car registration fee. Don’t have a vehicle to bring? Families, OHIO students and community members are invited to join the fun as well.

10:30 a.m. Dedication of the Charles and Harriet Carlson Information Kiosk (Emeriti Park)

Situated on the former bed of the Hocking River, this beautiful park includes a pond, picturesque flowerbeds, benches, trees, fountains, a waterfall and a gazebo. Join the Emeriti Association including Alan Boyd and Richard Dean, many esteemed emeriti faculty, president emeritus Ping, 21st President, Duane Nellis, and members of the Carlson family to celebrate and dedicate the Charles and Harriet Carlson Memorial Kiosk which will be on the south overlook of Emeriti Park.
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Food Truck Festival (Pepsi Tailgreat Park)

Join us for a smorgasbord of Athens Food Trucks! Food trucks that will be in attendance are the Hot Potato Truck, The Burrito Buggy, Holy Guacamole, Dr. May's Thai Kitchen, Hungry Cat, hotdiggitydog, The Konu Ice Truck, Mr. Softee and Aunt Vee's. Continue to check back as more trucks are added to this list! This will be a great opportunity to enjoy good food and connect with alumni from your region.

2 - 4 p.m. The Ohio University Lancaster Theatre Presents: "Next to Normal" (Baker University Center Theater)

The Ohio University Lancaster Theatre will perform the 2008 American rock musical Next to Normal, book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt. Dad’s an architect; Mom rushes to pack lunches and pour cereal; their daughter and son are bright, wisecracking teens, appearing to be a typical American family. And yet their lives are anything but normal because the mother has been battling manic depression for 16 years. Next to Normal takes audiences into the minds and hearts of each character, presenting their family's story with love, sympathy and heart.

Discover why Athens has become a local destination for craft beers in Ohio. This educational tour will allow you to explore three of the local breweries in Athens, and learn about their brewing process. This tour will explore Little Fish Brewing Co., Devil's Kettle Brewing, and Jackie O's Taproom. The tour will include transportation, some food, and samples at each brewery.
