A balanced Bobcat is a happy Bobcat. OHIO boasts more than 550 registered student organizations and 30-plus club sports. Watch this video to see how students are creating a balance between their studies and recreation.

Cheermeister winner 

The votes are in! Congratulations Sheila Winland, who was selected as the official OHIO Cheermeister. Winland will represent thousands of die-hard Bobcat fans worldwide during Homecoming 2017. As the OHIO Cheermeister, she will be the guest of honor at the Yell Like Hell Pep Rally, lead the Homecoming Parade, and cheer on the Bobcats during the football game. OHIO plans investiture of 21st president

The weeklong inauguration celebration of M. Duane Nellis as the 21st president of Ohio University will feature an official investiture ceremony, a game-day presidential tailgate, an historical campus retrospective and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with a strategic international partner during the week of Oct. 16.

Legacy scholars take up Bobcat banner 

The 2017 Legacy Scholars have been chosen! The OHIO Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship, created in 2003, helps children and grandchildren of Ohio University alumni continue the Bobcat tradition. Read about them here.

A Bobcat wherever he went, James Reed honored By ‘The Wall that Heals’ 

The Vietnam War exhibit ‘The Wall that Heals’ that was on display at OHIO’s Bicentennial Park, bears the name of the James William Reed, who was killed in action. Reed’s love of Ohio University inspired his family members to become Bobcats.

The Sugar Bush Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2018-2019 funding cycle. It aims to improve the quality of life in Appalachian Ohio by encouraging civic engagement and fostering sustainable environmental and socioeconomic development.
