Bobcat owns her place in STEM field; stands out among peers  

Sara Sand is an OHIO Honors Tutorial College student and engineering physics major whose curiosity and drive take her to labs and conferences all over the world. Whether she’s studying how to improve solar cell technology in southern Germany or in an OHIO lab, she's often the lone woman in the room. Read about how Sand is carving her own way in the physics and engineering fields.

Alumni artists combine passion and purpose

Betsy Ross Koller, an Ohio University alumna, and Passion Works Studio, a local art studio in Athens inclusive to artists with and without developmental disabilities, have produced a variety of artwork recognized by people all over the world. With the help of The Bobcat Store, Koller and Passion Works have created exclusive collections to benefit personal causes. Koller’s limited edition, four-piece collection of prints pays tribute to Appalachia and her alma mater. Passion Works Studio’s collection includes the Green and White Bobcat Passion Flower, wreaths and special, annual ornaments. Get the details here.

Kahler Scholarship to provide support for sports administration students

SportBusiness International ranks OHIO’s Master’s in Sports Administration Program No. 1 in the world, and Jim and Katie Kahler say they want to ensure it stays that way. The Kahlers, beloved members of the OHIO and Athens communities, have established The Jim and Katie Kahler Sports Administration Scholarship, a tool that will support students enrolled in the Masters of Business Administration/Masters of Sports Administration programs.
