Shao Fang Sheng film to show at Int'l Alumni Reunion
Director Weimin Zhang, an Ohio University Distinguished Alumna, tells the story of Shao Fang's life and the Sheng's iconic home in her 2000 documentary film, "The House of Spirit." The documentary will be among a slate of films featured during OHIO's International Alumni Reunion, April 15-18 (registration required).

OHIO College of Business names new COO
Ohio University's College of Business has named Dr. Phillip Taylor III as its new chief operating officer. Taylor is an OHIO alumnus with a background in molecular biology and business administration, and has been an active member of the College of Business Executive Advisory Board since 2005.

University mourns death of Trustee J. Patrick Campbell
The Ohio University community is mourning the death of National Trustee J. Patrick Campbell, 65, who died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 4, in Walloon Lake, Mich. Campbell, a 1971 graduate of OHIO, was appointed by the Ohio University Board of Trustees to a three-year term in June 2012.

Polar Plunge raises $21,000 for Special Olympics Ohio
The eighth annual Ohio University Polar Plunge, which was hosted by the Ohio University Police Department, attracted more than 125 plungers to Lake Snowden and raised more than $21,000 for Special Olympics Ohio.

In January, OHIO's Scripps College of Communication scholar Lynn Harter and videographer Evan Shaw premiered their documentary film "A Beautiful Remedy" in Athens and in Houston, Texas, through a partnership with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The film explores how making art positively impacts pediatric patients at the Center. Click here to view more photos from the event.

Homecoming 2015 date announced, call for logo submissions
Homecoming 2015 is scheduled for the week of Oct. 5-10. More than 1,800 OHIO community members voted, and "Same Bricks, Different Stories" was selected as the 2015 Homecoming theme. This year, students and alumni are invited to submit their original designs for the event logo that will be used throughout Homecoming Week as a symbol to bring Bobcats together.
Submissions in the form of a 300ppi Illustrator, PDF or JPG file must be e-mailed to werryd@ohio.edu by March 11 to be considered. The selected logo will earn the designer an OHIO gift valued at $100.

Cleveland Bobcats to gather for Homecoming on the road
It's a Bobcat Family Reunion! The first 2015 Ohio University Homecoming-themed celebration on the road is scheduled for April 9 at the Windows on the River in Cleveland. Join your fellow OHIO Bobcats at this year's Cleveland area reunion to mix, mingle and snack on tasty hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Enjoy the company of fellow Bobcats, including OHIO's 20th president, Roderick J. McDavis '70.

Singing Men of Ohio travel to the Midwest for annual tour
Members of the Singing Men of Ohio (SMO) won't be spending Ohio University's spring break on sunny Florida beaches. Instead, they will tour five midwestern states, a touring tradition that dates back to 2002. The all-male group will travel to Columbus, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Indianapolis and Norwalk, Ohio. The students perform almost nightly in a variety of venues. Read more.
