OHIO economic impact report available to public
The full economic impact study assessing Ohio University's total economic output for 2012 at approximately $1.5 billion is now available in an easy-to-read format through a newly created website. The report focuses on the influence OHIO exerts on the local, regional and statewide economy through its six campuses and two regional centers.
OHIO to launch physician assistant program in 2015
Responding to a shortage of healthcare professionals, especially in rural areas, Ohio University plans to launch a master's-level physician assistant program in May 2015 on an extension campus that the university is developing near Columbus.

The Career & Leadership Development Center (CLDC) has implemented several changes in the past few semesters to better help students in their quests to future careers. Among those are strategic goals to help students integrate leadership into their learning, and Career Classes for first-year students.
Ohio University Zanesville dean appointed
Ohio University Zanesville recently appointed Jenifer Cushman as its new Dean of Students. From her previous role of dean of International Education at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa., Cushman will "provide a perspective to the campus that will enhance the way we prepare students to enter the workforce and to be competitive in the global community," Executive Vice President and Provost Pam Benoit said.

Celebrate your Bobcat pride on April 18, otherwise known as "OUr Day."
As Bobcats venture outside of Athens, they look for new ways to show their green and white spirit. This year, with a nod to Flat Stanley, alumni can download and print a Flat Rufus. Take a picture with him wherever you are, and then post it on the OUAA Facebook page for a chance to win some fun prizes. Use your creativity to show how proud you are to be a Bobcat!

Singing Men of Ohio launches spring tour
The Central Ohio Alumni Network will host the Singing Men of Ohio on March 7. This OHIO men's musical group will stop and perform at Thomas Worthington High School at 7:30 p.m. as part of their Spring Tour.
The event is open to the public at no cost, while donations to help cover tour expenses for the SMO will be accepted. A light reception of hot drinks and dessert will follow the performance.

Return to Athens for 'On The Green' Weekend
Return home and join fellow Bobcat alumni "On the Green" for a special weekend. On May 30-June 1, OHIO alumni, Emeriti faculty and staff, family members and friends are invited to enjoy a weekend of memories, togetherness and fun.

OHIO celebrates its 210th "Happy Birthday"
The week of Feb. 18 marked Ohio University's 210th birthday, otherwise known as Founder's Day. Celebrations included social media contests and a reception conducted by Student Alumni Board.
Social media contests included trivia questions on Twitter and photo contest on Instagram, requiring the hashtag "#HappyBdayOU." Winners of the contests received a prize bag provided by the Ohio University Alumni Association. The posts generated more than 47,000 social media views.
Alpha Delta Pi to celebrate Centennial at Ohio University
The Xi Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi is ready to celebrate 100 years of sisterhood on Ohio University's campus. The celebration of this milestone in Athens occurs on March 21-23, with events such as a luncheon at Nelson Commons featuring keynote speaker Tammie Pinkston, the International President of Alpha Delta Pi. Ceremonies recognizing 25, 50 and 75 years of membership are included in the program.
The International Vice President of Organizational Relations, Sandy Davis, worked with the planning committee on this event, and is thrilled to report that 300 ADPi alumnae will be in attendance.
"Everyone has a soft spot in their hearts for OU, and they are thrilled to return to campus. The celebration of 100 years is such an accomplishment, and it shows Ohio University's commitment to having a strong Greek system," Davis said.
