OHIO breaks ground for Dublin Integrated Education Center
Officials representing Ohio University, Columbus State Community College, Otterbein University, Ohio Dominican University, the University of Findlay and the city of Dublin held a groundbreaking ceremony at the future site of Ohio University's Dublin Integrated Education Center last week.

Finals Week Survival Bags give Bobcats a boost
Encourage fellow Bobcats and support the Student Alumni Board during finals! Purchase finals week survival bags for current students and help them finish the semester strong. Bags can be purchased through the Bobcat store for $15. The Finals Week Survival Bag includes snacks, coupons for local stores, study tools and an OHIO water bottle. OHIO Cleveland Women's Club celebrates 75th
The Ohio University Women's Club of Cleveland celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. The group will reminisce during its annual spring luncheon.

Students, alumni enjoy dinner
During the winter meeting of the Ohio University Alumni Association (OUAA) Board of Directors, current and former board members and Student Alumni Board members enjoyed connecting at a networking dinner in March, sharing stories, experiences and tips for professional development.

Ebony Bobcat Network event a success
More than 100 Cleveland-area Ohio University alumni and friends attended an "Afternoon at the Theatre with EBN" in Cleveland Heights on Sunday, Feb. 23.

Singing Men of OHIO Tour during Spring Break
The Singing Men of Ohio (SMO) were successful with a multi-state tour over spring break, including an appearance on "The Today Show" in New York City.

Join us for On The Green Weekend
Pack your suitcase for “On the Green Weekend,” taking place Friday, May 30 through Sunday June 1. Join fellow alumni for a weekend featuring activities for the entire OHIO community, alumni and their families, and those celebrating class milestones and special reunions.

On the Green Weekend welcomes alumni and friends to campus during the most beautiful time of the year in Athens. It will be a ‘spring homecoming’ with an emphasis on academics and the arts,” said Jennifer Neubauer, executive director of the OUAA and assistant vice president for Alumni Relations.

Registration is now open, and lodging options are available. We hope to see you “On the Green!” on May 30.

OUr Day is April 18!
OUr day is an opportunity for alumni to celebrate being an Ohio University graduate. On Friday, April 18 participate in OUr day by wearing your OHIO apparel, listening to WOUB or ACRN, reading The Post or watching Marching 110 videos on YouTube. The OUAA will hold a "Flat Rufus" contest on OUr Day, where alumni are to print a paper Rufus from ohioalumni.org/our-day and take photos of him visiting various locations and post it to the OHIO Alumni Facebook timeline.

Visit the Flat Rufus Contest page for contest rules.  Winners receive a free Rufus t-shirt. Names are drawn at random on April 18.

Are you ready for Dinner With 12 Strangers?
April 9 at 6 p.m. marks the third Dinner with 12 Strangers event of the semester. Hosted by President Roderick and First Lady Deborah McDavis at their residence on Park Place, this edition of Dinner with 12 Strangers welcomes students to network and learn from the President and First Lady’s journey to success. Dinner with 12 Strangers provides faculty and alumni the opportunity to host a dinner for OHIO students. The goal is to make our OHIO community seem a little smaller by having graduates and professionals share their on-campus and career experiences with current students, providing them with an opportunity for a great evening of socializing and networking. A Night in Athens ... in Pittsburgh
Ohio University’s “A Night in Athens … in Pittsburgh!” is a chance for alumni to enjoy each other's company at their home away from Athens. The event is coming to the Fairmont Hotel in Pittsburgh on May 7 at 6:30 p.m. Features of the evening include Athens-inspired food and beverages, music, photos from the past, and most importantly, the company of fellow alumni. President Roderick J. McDavis, BSED ’70, will speak and enjoy time with fellow Bobcats. Registration for this event is available at www.ohioalumnireception.org.Can’t make it to Pittsburgh? Alumni Week offers value in career development
The Career and Leadership Development Center hosts the first Alumni Week for working Bobcats looking for assistance with resumes and career advice.

Alumni Week is April 21-25, and focuses on three events: Résumé reviews, interview practice, and a Twitter chat.

“Alumni may not be aware the CLDC is still a resource after they graduate,” said Graduate Assistant of Marketing and Employer Relation, Julianne Wallace. “Our focus is to help Bobcats through the ups and downs of their entire career path. We want alumni to not only be successful in their careers, but in life.”

Pi Phi Celebrating 125 Years Of Sisterhood
The Ohio Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi is celebrating 125 years of sisterhood on Ohio University’s campus. The celebration of this milestone in Athens will be held April 25-28. The chapter will be hosting President and Mrs. McDavis at a reception at the chapter house on Friday night, along with other members of the university community.

The International Vice President of Finance, Rae Wohlhueter Meier, will be attending as a guest of the chapter and will be the speaker for the Saturday night banquet. Carolyn Helman Lichtenberg, former International President and OU alumna will be the toastmistress.

Athens holds a very special place in the heart of every OU student and alumna. Favorite memories are the red bricks, the 110 Marching Band, Homecoming and the Bagel Buggy. We are looking forward to creating new memories in April.
