OU press photographers best in nation four years in a row

OHIO study saves state $22 million
The work of engineers at Ohio University's Ohio Research Institute for Transportation and the Environment (ORITE), have saved the state of Ohio an estimated $22 million on road construction over five years. The engineers found that a material ODOT used to construct new roads in the state wasn't improving pavement performance as expected and was actually worsening it in some areas.
An enthusiastic crowd of 50-plus Bobcats travelled from all corners of Texas

Your new Ohio Today Online is on its way!
Your alumni magazine, Ohio Today, will be available in an exciting digital format soon! To complement the print magazine, four digital issues a year will offer stories, videos and slideshows celebrating OHIO. Look for your first issue in your e-mail inbox next week.
With this new digital format, we are able to offer online-only subscriptions to alumni who wish to reduce their environmental footprint. To add your name to our online-only subscription list, visit us online and fill out a subscription form. A print copy of Ohio Today will no longer be delivered to your mailbox.
Academic restructuring process continues
The start of the new academic year marks the second phase of the proposed academic restructuring. The focus will be on a staged process in which detailed plans will be developed for each element of the restructuring.
A two-step process, based on a template, has been created to ensure that matters such as student services, curriculum, promotion and tenure, space, staffing and accreditation have been discussed and resolved.
The first stage of the process involves providing specific information about cost savings, potential revenue generation, and the need for additional resources associated with the move of each program. Step two will involve a process designed to certify that all of the elements critical to ensuring a successful move have been addressed.
Now is the time to celebrate! Join fellow alumni on Nov. 4 to
celebrate 100 years of the Central Ohio Chapter and continue the
legacy of OHIO.
Join us for a reception at the elegant Darby Dan Farm with special
guest speakers Debbie Phillips Bower '73 and others, and a musical performance by jazz Spoken Here.

Get ready for "The Phone-a-Thon": a new web series -- created, written, and produced by and starring Ohio University students.
At the "Phone-a-Thon," students strive for excellence as they reach out to OHIO alumni and reconnect you with your Alma Mater. Through their efforts, Ohio University completes more than 100,000 phone calls, secures approximately 13,500 gifts, and raises an average of $1 million each year from generous alumni and friends in support of OU’s colleges, students, faculty and programs.
Now… get a glimpse inside "The Phone-a-Thon" in this "mockumentary" that takes a lighthearted look at the lives of four student callers. Coming soon to an e-mail box near you!
