Wolfort: Strong job market for liberal arts graduates

Today's graduates are entering a very strong job market, especially for liberal arts graduates of the College of Arts & Sciences, says David Wolfort, '74. "You're in high demand today, very high demand."

"Now I couldn't make that speech in 2009, nor could I have in 1974 the year I graduated. Those were recession years. But you're not in a recession year. You're in a hyper-growth environment. And you have the ability to secure employment and begin a career."

New online degree in psychology helps Ohioans in competitive job market

The College of Arts & Sciences launches its first degree completion program—an online B.A. in Psychology designed to help more Ohioans in a competitive job market where a bachelor's degree can be the key to getting a job or getting a promotion.

"Online degree programs such as this one are vital to strengthening the state's workforce," says Ohio University President M. Duane Nellis.
