Chapter and Society Awards
Ohio University Alumni Association chapters and societies work hard all year to bring great programming and events to Bobcat alumni across the country and around the world. Each spring we recognize their exceptional work at our annual Alumni Leaders Conference.
- The Cutler Outstanding Chapter/Society Award
The Alumni Association established the Outstanding Chapter Award in 1978 and the Outstanding Society Award in 2004, to distinguish alumni networks that demonstrate initiative, exhibit quality, and contribute to the overall participation of alumni in renewing affiliations with their alma mater. Each network may only receive the award once every three years. - The Glidden Enrichment Award
Presented to the alumni chapter or society that sponsors the most innovative, creative and/or best-received program. Networks can only win once for the same program. - The Alden Community Service Award
Presented to the alumni chapter or society that sponsors the most outstanding community service program/initiative. The success of the program is be based on several factors, including money raised, hours given and service rendered. - The Templeton Networking Award
Presented to the chapter or society that embodies excellence in connecting alumni in meaningful, new ways. Created in 2009, in celebration of the Alumni Association’s 150th anniversary, this award reflects a core value of alumni networks. - The Lindley Student Networking Award
This award was created in 2009 in celebration of the Alumni Association’s 150th anniversary to reflect one of the core values of alumni networks – alumni and student networking. This award recognizes excellence in connecting alumni with current Ohio University students. - College of Business Society of Alumni & Friends Early Achievement Award
The Early Achievement Award was established in 2011 by the College of Business Society of Alumni & Friends to recognize a recent graduate (within 15 years of having earned a bachelor's or master’s degree) who has shown excellence in his or her professional pursuits. This individual will have achieved early distinction in his or her chosen field, such as success in an entrepreneurial endeavor, accelerated promotion, or recognition for contributions to his or her company. - The Konneker Volunteer of the Year Award
This is a new award created in 2015 to honor an OUAA volunteer. This award is presented to an alumnus to recognize extraordinary efforts to promote OHIO and connect alumni to their alma mater.
