Parking, Transportation, and Lodging

Shuttle Transportation

Two shuttles will be available for transportation throughout the weekend.  

  • Loop One: From the Ohio University Inn to Athens campus.  
  • Loop Two: From East State Street hotels to Athens campus.  

Shuttle arrival intervals, a downloadable shuttle tracking app, and drop-off and pickup locations will be listed on this page closer to the event date, along with a shuttle map.

Parking

A parking map will be provided in the welcome package at registration, and available on this page closer to the event date. 

Parking lots will be reserved for our guests for special events:

  • Baker Center garage parking will be reserved for registration and for the gala.  
  • The Convo will have spaces/lots reserved for the Cookout.  
  • We will have some spots in Konneker and by the Music Dance Library for the Welcome and Farewell. 
  • There is also metered city parking in the vicinity. The city parking garage is a close public parking option for the event.

Hotel/Lodging and Disclaimers

See the Athens County Visitors Bureau’s Places to Stay in Athens. We encourage alumni to book rooms early as accommodations are in high demand for this weekend.  

If you find that a hotel is full:

  • Please call the hotel and ask about vacancies/rooms that may be available.
  • Visit travel websites (Expedia, Hotels.com, etc.) to check on availability there.
  • Call back often to check on availability as rooms are cancelled become available.
  • Airbnb and cabins rentals may be available in the Hocking Hills area, 40-50 minutes from campus. See hockinghills.com, 1st Choice Lodging, or explorehockinghills.com.
  • More lodging information may be available by searching the Athens County Visitors Bureau’s website.
