Seigfred Hall remains closed. Seigfred Hall classes/activities are canceled this evening and tomorrow (2/24) until further notice. Power has been restored to Putnam Hall; the building has resumed normal activities.

SEIGFRED HALL
Seigfred Hall remains closed. All classes and activities for this evening and tomorrow (2/24) are canceled until further notice. 
 
A status update will be provided Friday (2/24) at approximately 1 p.m. 
 
PUTNAM HALL
Power was restored to Putnam Hall at 3:45 p.m. today, and the building is now open for evening activities. If you have concerns about a previously scheduled activity within Putnam Hall, please contact the organizer directly. Classes within Putnam Hall remain canceled through the evening.
 

All Friday (2/24) classes, activities and operations within Putnam Hall will resume as scheduled.

PUTNAM HALL
Power was restored to Putnam Hall at 3:45 p.m. today, and the building is now open for evening activities. If you have concerns about a previously scheduled activity within Putnam Hall, please contact the organizer directly.

SEIGFRED HALL
Seigfred Hall remains closed. All classes are canceled for the evening, and activities within the building are canceled until further notice. Access to the building is not currently permitted.
 

2/23/17 Update: 3 p.m.  Classes in Putnam and Seigfred are cancelled for the rest of today, Thursday.


2/23/17. Putnam and Seigfred Halls also remain closed for all other activities until further notice.
 

Crews are continuing work to restore power.  


We anticipate power may be restored around 7 p.m. at which time the building will reopen for all other activities . Classes are anticipated to resume tomorrow. We will post an update no later than 7:00 p.m.


2/23/17 Update: 12 p.m. - Putnam Hall and Seigfred Hall remain closed. 

 
Facilities has identified a failed switch as the cause of the electric outage at Seigfred and Putnam Hall.

We estimate that power will be restored to both buildings by 5 p.m. today and will plan to provide updates at approximately 3 p.m.

2/23/17 Update: 8:04 a.m. Putnam and Seigfred Hall are without power and are expected to be closed until at least 4 p.m. as crews work to restore power. All classes and activities are cancelled in these buildings only. No one is permitted in the buildings. Another update will be posted by noon.


2/23/17 Update: 4:48 a.m. Power has been restored as of 4:34 a.m. If you continue to have electric problems in your building, please report it to 740-593-2911.


 

2/23/17 Update: 3:50 a.m. The power outage affecting a portion of campus is still unresolved. Testing of the  electric gear at RTV indicates that equipment is okay. Crews continue to trouble shoot.

The estimate to restore power to affected buildings is not known at this time.  We will post another update at 5:30 a.m. or sooner if conditions warrant.


 

2/23/17 Update: 2:30 a.m. Facilities crews are in the process of verifying that an electric fault at RTV caused the outage. Once they verify this, they will isolate the circuit and begin to restore power to the rest of the campus buildings currently without power. The estimated time to restore power for those buildings is 4:00 a.m. The estimate to restore power to RTV is not known at this time. We will post another update at 4:00 a.m. or sooner if conditions warrant.


 

2/23/17 Update 1:35 a.m. Crews are now on campus and working to identify the cause of the power outage. Initial reports indicate the power outage appears to be limited to the list of buildings shown below. If you are in a building not on this list, please report  the outage to 740-593-2911. We will provide another update by 2:30 a.m.
