Ohio University offers a number of opportunities for students to visit and acquaint themselves with Ohio University's challenging academic programs and many diverse opportunities for involvement. Each year, Undergraduate Admissions sponsors programs such as the Multicultural Visitation Program (MVP) and Cultural Connections.
Participants in this overnight program have the opportunity to meet with faculty and students, discuss their academic goals, meet potential classmates, and acquaint themselves with Ohio University and campus life. Housing and transportation (for select cities) are available to program participants. Students are invited to this program through their high school guidance offices.
This weekend program highlights opportunities and support services for admitted multicultural students in the spring. Cultural Connections gives students and their families an opportunity to make an informed college choice. Once you are admitted you will be invited to stay overnight and participate in a full slate of activities. Events highlighting the weekend include question and answer sessions with faculty and staff, student panel discussions, a special interest fair, a talent show, and an honors banquet.
If you visit during the week, you will participate in a half-hour information session where you will learn about admissions criteria, academic majors, campus housing, and financial aid. In addition, one of our student tour guides will conduct a 90-minute walking tour of the campus. It is recommended that you make your reservation at least two weeks in advance.
